The Western Association of Independent Camps is a group of private children's summer camps located in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. There are day and resident camps and a wide range of activities from horseback riding, swimming, rock climbing, crafts, drama, ballsports, sailing and more. Some programs last a few days and others for the whole summer.

Our purpose is to define and influence the future of organized camping. We believe in people, integrity, professionalism, quality and excellence, human fulfillment, the value of the organized camping experience and having fun. We have an annual conference every November to educate and inspire our member Camp Owners and Directors.
